The team guiding National Datacare’s four-decade tradition of superior service — and its next chapter of growth.
Leigh Powell joined National Datacare in early 2024 as its President and Chief Executive Officer, citing the company’s sterling reputation as a trusted provider of solutions and significant opportunities for growth. Mr. Powell has been a successful CEO and founder of both public and private software and services companies. Most recently, he was CEO of iContracts, a company he co-founded in 2009 that rose to a leadership position providing cloud-based revenue, policy, contract, and compliance management solutions to the life sciences industry before its acquisition by RLDatix in 2019. He also served as CEO of PCHelps, LLC, the leading provider of packaged PC application software and mobile device support to the Fortune 500. A past recipient of the MESDA CEO of the Year award and a Massachusetts High Technology “High Tech All-Star” for his work as CEO of I-many, Inc., he led I-many through a successful IPO in 2001 and grew the company to nearly $60 million in revenue in under four years. He began his career at Accenture, spending 10 years architecting enterprise software offerings for the process and energy industries. Mr. Powell holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Virginia Tech.
Todd Venetianer serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for National Datacare. He has over 35 years of experience growing and leading organizations deploying enterprise software and financial solutions, with responsibility for financial, accounting, human resources, legal, engineering, and professional services teams. Most recently, he served as COO/CFO and board member for iContracts, Inc., where he grew the company from a start-up SaaS contract management provider into a multi-million dollar global organization. Earlier, Todd led professional services and support organizations for several software companies and provided strategic and technology consulting to small and mid-sized companies as well as Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Venetianer holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mark Sanfacon served as President and Chief Executive Officer of National Datacare for over 33 years. During his tenure, he developed the Resident Fund Management Service and grew it into the de facto solution for handling resident funds in the skilled nursing industry, serving over 8,500 facilities and more than half a million individuals. He has been responsible for every aspect of the company — negotiating banking partnerships with institutions large and small, architecting technical solutions, finance, sales, and customer integrations. In early 2024, Mr. Sanfacon stepped into the CTO role to focus his energies on product direction and innovation. He holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.
After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland College Park, Betty Sang began her journey with National Datacare in 1992 in an entry-level role that marked the start of a remarkable career. With a steadfast dedication to personal and professional growth, Betty seized every opportunity to evolve alongside the company, wearing numerous hats and making impactful contributions to National Datacare’s growth. Her ability to adapt and thrive in various capacities speaks to her commitment and her deep understanding of the company’s operations. Today, Betty serves as Vice President of Operations with an enduring commitment to excellence and to National Datacare’s mission and values.
Stephanie Kelly began her career at National Datacare in 1997. She is a corporate subject matter expert in the Resident Fund Management Service system, CMS regulations related to resident funds, Social Security regulations for collective and master/sub accounts, and ACH guidelines for resident fund bank accounts. Her career has spanned customer service, contract execution, training, accounting, sales support, and project management. Stephanie currently manages the Customer Accounting Team and the NDC company accounting system, and has initiated innovative process improvements that enhance corporate efficiency. She has been an integral member of the corporate leadership team for the majority of her career, and holds a B.S. in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State.
